Monday Night Training with ERN
Monday night training runs are a mixture of steady runs, speed, and hill sessions. Sometimes it is a regular route, sometimes it’s a last minute plan depending on the weather. All levels of runners are welcome, however we would expect runners to be able to run continuously for at least 20 minutes. If you are unsure which night would suit you best, come along on a Monday and give us a try.
Elly Mackenzie leads this session with support from Andrew Simpson and Fi Mackenzie. ‘We are out for about 45mins to 1hr, depending on the route and session. Distance varies from 3 to 5 miles. All runs start at Portobello Swim Centre: meet in the foyer under the stairs at 7:00pm or outside in the sunshine, we look forward to seeing you!.’

If you are very new to running you might be interested to know that at ERN we work with jogscotland where they can provide training for new runners and where their beginner’s sessions introduce you gently and gradually to your running programme, so you progress at a safe pace, avoid injury, and enjoy training with people at a similar level of fitness to you. jogscotland also provide training at intermediate level with the aim of being able to complete a 5km fun-run.
