1 = First race over the distance. PB = Personal best time over the distance.
There were 4 ERNs plus chums on the E2NB 20 miler this morning, nice and sunny but a sapping, blustery headwind all the way. Numbers seemed lower than usual but great support, organisation and marshalling. I think Mike and Louise both got PBs and this was Michael’s longest run for a good few years – well done guys. For me, I was apprehensive about the run having a bad reoccurrence of a foot injury which has meant no long runs as such apart from the John Muir Ultra and with Stirling marathon in a fortnight, not sure about going. Wanted to see if I could last the 20 miles and come in before the cut-off. Normally run this around 3.00 hours so was delighted to do in 2.59. Foot sore but I’ll live. Great to see ERNs at Portobello Baths and Gita and Eleanor marshalling in NB, thanks all.
