Gillian said: First 10k I have ever done where you pass the same spot 8 times ! (Up Middlemeadow walk to Forest Road and back down again after every lap round the meadows). Got to recognise supporters and marshals quite well. Mind you runners doing the marathon distance passed it 36 times which rather put my efforts in perspective. Running round and round the meadows was a lot more fun than I anticipated. Live music and students cheering us because Edinburgh University organise this event. And although it was a charity event I was thrilled to discover we got a medal at the end. Well spent morning
