The Haddington and East Lothian Pacemaker’s 10K event takes place during the town’s annual Festival week celebrations. Starting and finishing in Neilson Park alongside an It’s a Knockout competition and a classic car show, the event is run on the grass of the park and B roads on the south side of the town. The course is described as having, ‘a sharp hill within the first 2K, otherwise this is a fast, possible PB course’. Well that may not have been the case for everyone, but it certainly was for ERN’s David Dye, who set a new PB only six days after completing his first marathon at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival the previous weekend. Well done David.
