A break in the dreich weather allowed eight ERNs to take part in this local evening race. Turned out be sunny if windy and as always, a very friendly and well organised race. Time and photos below. Many thanks to all at Portobello Running Club for their efforts – excellent.

Mike said: “A warm and sunny evening brought 8 ERN members out to Portobello Prom, with Jo F, Millie and Val in support, for Portobello Running Club’s 4 Mile Road Race. With a breeze in our faces for most of the first mile, the turn at the cat and dog home was most welcome as the course took us back along Seafield Road before the downhill on King’s Road took us back down to sea level for the long haul along the Prom before turning round and doing it all again to get back to the start. Hard work for those of us who have become unaccustomed to running in sunny, warm conditions, but several PBs and an excellent value mid-week event, on a familiar route, with money from entry fees going to a good cause, www.richmondshope.org.uk, a local charity dedicated to the care of children who have suffered bereavement. Recommended!
