Well done to Tracy and Krista on their continuing triathlon adventures! This time it was an open-water event at Lochore, Fife. Some good split times and category positions as well (Note: Tracy was fifth in category and first in T1).

Krista said: “Tracy and I were up at silly o’clock to head to Lochore meadows for our second open water triathlon. It was a running start, wetsuits and brightly coloured caps required. After we’ve registered and set up our transitions, I find the waiting to start the most nerve-racking. And the start was delayed for 20 minutes as there was an issue with the timing; it gave me a good chance to get properly nervous! We were allowed into the water for five minutes and then brought back to shore before starting. Getting into cold water (12*C) even in a wetsuit is daunting, the cold water on your face and hands takes your breath away. After a running start with 100 others, we belted off for the 750 metre swim. I was really pleased with how it went, I managed to stay calm and sight properly which is a great success. The cycle was 24k and a sweet little out and back 5k along the banks of the loch to finish off. Good fun and look forward to the next one! Very well organised and we got a very patriotic towel with a saltire on it as a finish memento.”
