The Midlothian Sprint Triathlon consists of a 750m swim, 20km cycle and a 5km run starting and finishing at Dalkeith Community School. This year Tracy Paterson and Krista Black took part in their second triathlon of the season and had a great time, helped by the lovely weather.

Tracy said: “Krista and I finished our second triathlon of the season in Dalkeith. The cycle course consisted of two loops, each with the same challenging hill, and the run was a straightforward out-and-back on completely traffic-free cycle paths. There was also a novice event of shorter swim, cycle and run distances ideal for the person trying their first tri. We have been very lucky so far with the weather, and it was a glorious day.
Cheers
Tracy”
