Didn’t think anyone would be daft enough to turn up but as I live nearby I thought I’d better show face anyway. Turned out the car park and cafe were shut (not a good sign) but both Mike and Phil-D materialised so we decided to go for a shortened run through Lochend Park, cycle tracks to the Links then the promenade to Portobello Baths and back via Figgate Park and Piershill; just over 7 miles in total. Not too bad once you’d started. The fresh snow gave decent grip except where it covered thick ice. Glad we did it (afterwards) but missed the usual bacon roll, coffee and smiley face.
