Despite recovering from a heavy cold Peter Marshall took part in the Cardiff Half last Sunday. Lovely weather with a flat scenic route attracted over 11,000 runners. The fact that it later turned out that the course was very marginally short was a bonus! Good to see he enjoyed it so much and ended up a fabulous 75th in category – Recommended.

Peter said: “Hi, Last weekend was very enjoyable. Cardiff seems to be a fine city (I’d only ever past by it previously when visiting my brother in St David’s) and for the main part the event was well organised. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to try for a PB. A large part of the route was through Bute Park. When I enrolled for the run I declared my expected finishing time as 2hrs 30mins so I was happy enough with the 2hrs 18mins 16secs that I achieved, especially as I had a fairly heavy cold and phlegmy chest (still a bit clogged up now!).
I drove back to Leith yesterday evening and am back on board the “Clupea” so hope to see you on Sunday.
Best wishes,
Peter”
