A bright sunny morning witnessed the second running of the ERN Easter Run/Hunt/Quiz. Based from Portobello Swim Centre, teams of two tried to collect as many points as possible within the allocated hour period. Points were also deducted for each minute they were late back! You can see the results along with some photos below. The furthest clues were worth more points, with a potential total of 63 on offer, but as the clues were widely spread out over the area, the canny selection of routes was as important as speed. Congratulations to Gordon and Phil who took first place thereby reclaiming some of the male pride which had been so severely spanked last year! Also, many thanks to Krista and Tracy for their help in administrating the event. As it was a lovely day, some ERNs stayed back for a coffee with some subsequently retiring to the nearby Dalriada pub for some frothies in the sunny beer-garden – A bit different and good fun all round. Hope to see you next year.

Miller was an Eighteenth Century politician, possibly a hermaphrodite, who asked to be buried face down, 40 feet beneath the Earth, under a gigantic mausoleum in Craigentinny. Details of the mausoleum, which dwarfs the 1930’s houses nearby, and a rather peculiar “changeling” can be found at Mausoleum.
