jogscotland 5km Santa Run 2008

Gillian Grant and her sister, Adrienne Murray, travelled through West for the Jog Scotland 5km Santa Run. Good clear crisp weather ensured a good turnout for an enjoyable event.

Gillian said:   “Adrienne and I went through to Strathclyde Park yesterday to take part in the Jog Scotland 5k. Third year running I’ve taken part in it. Well how often do you get the chance to dress up as Santa Clause ? A good fun, well organised race. Warm up to Christmas music then run right round the loch. Was a glorious day for it, cold but not slippy, the park looked very frosty and Christmasy as 250 + runners (the vast majority in costume) ran round it. We were rewarded for our efforts with a medal and a goody bag. I ran it in 26.41 which I was quite pleased with at my current level of fitness. Adrienne had so much fun she forgot to stop her watch so her time is a mystery !!”
